CHECK FOR CONTEXT😭😭

A Great Dane named Winston or Otis has been going after the vacuum cleaner for months — barking and snapping at it whenever it turns on. The owner’s been trying to ease him into it by moving super slowly around him while vacuuming. Then she tried a trick she saw on Instagram: instead of scolding the dog, she turns the vacuum off and yells _at the vacuum_ itself. “Don’t do that to my dog. Leave my dog alone. I will always protect you.” The dog gets totally thrown off — stops attacking and just watches in confusion while she vacuums. She praises him after, and he stays calm. It’s meant to flip the dynamic: she’s showing the dog she’s handling the “threat,” so he doesn’t feel like he needs to defend her. Whether it sticks long-term is still up in the air though — she says she’ll find out in a couple days when she vacuums again. #moments #shorts
