“Is This How You Want to Rule?” Julius Malema Faces Backlash Over Immigration Plan

🚨 JULIUS MALEMA'S IMMIGRATION PROPOSAL SPARKS A HEATED DEBATE! 🇿🇦 Julius Malema has explained why he believes undocumented immigrants in South Africa should be documented, arguing that collecting their information could help authorities identify and track people without automatically granting them citizenship. But not everyone agrees with his approach! Following his interview, online commentators questioned whether the proposal would work, how authorities would verify people's identities, and whether South Africa should prioritise stronger border security and immigration enforcement. So, is documenting undocumented immigrants a practical solution, or could it create even more challenges for South Africa? 👇 HERE'S WHAT WENT DOWN In his interview, Malema argued that authorities should collect information such as fingerprints, addresses, countries of origin, and next-of-kin details. He also called for cooperation between Home Affairs, the police, and other government departments. Several commentators pushed back, raising concerns about identity verification, public spending, border security, deportation, and the enforcement of existing immigration laws. ⚖️ WHY THIS MATTERS South Africa needs an immigration system that can enforce the law, protect its borders, address corruption, and respect constitutional rights. Documentation, verification, asylum procedures, and deportation are related issues, but they are not the same thing. The details of how a policy is implemented matter just as much as the promises made about it. 🌍 AND LET'S BE REAL South Africans deserve answers about immigration management and government accountability. At the same time, the debate should be based on evidence and individual circumstances rather than assumptions about entire nationalities. The big question is whether documenting undocumented immigrants would improve enforcement or whether stronger border controls and better administration should come first. 💬 WHAT'S YOUR TAKE?
