Your Source of Happiness Determines Your Immunity

Scientists asked over 40,000 adults a very simple, straightforward yes-or-no question about their lives. Seven years later, those who answered no were about 50% more likely to have passed away. The question wasn't even about diet or exercise. It was about happiness, though a type of happiness that most people wouldn't think of. Over 2,000 years ago, two Greek philosophers gave opposite answers to what happiness actually is, but there was no way to test which of them was right. In the last few decades, researchers have figured out how, using gene activity in immune cells and decades of mortality data, and we found that one of the Greeks had a better answer. By the end of this video, you will know which type of happiness you should be pursuing and why it's better for your body. 📖 Sources: https://ept.ms/Happiness 00:00 - The Blueprint of Happiness 01:08 - The Proclivity to Pleasure 03:39 - The Antithesis of Pleasure 11:20 - Ikigai 13:21 - Reason Matters #happiness #wellness #immunesystem #health
