SWEDISH DEATH CLEANING | Things I No Longer Keep After 60

Swedish death cleaning, döstädning, is the ordinary practice of clearing a house before someone else has to. Birgitta Lindqvist, born in Värmland and settled in Minnesota since 1979, walks through seven things she no longer keeps in the house she and her husband bought in 1981, from the second and third of an everyday thing to the one item on the list where something gets added instead of taken away. One household took a weekend. Another took two years. Swedish sense in an American house, so your children inherit your things and not your mess. New videos Wednesdays and Saturdays.
