DANA PLATO Was a HUGE TV STAR… Then EVERYTHING Fell Apart

Dana Plato became a household name as Kimberly Drummond on Diff'rent Strokes, but the fame that made her a star didn't guarantee a secure future. After leaving the hit sitcom, Plato struggled to establish herself as an adult actress. Her career opportunities became smaller, her financial problems became public, and in 1991 she pleaded guilty after robbing a Las Vegas video store with a pellet gun. She died in 1999 at just 34 years old. Dana Plato's story is a tragic reminder that CHILDHOOD FAME can disappear long before the world forgets the character. #DanaPlato #DifferentStrokes #OldHollywood #HollywoodHistory #ChildStar #HollywoodStories #TheHiddenHollywood #Shorts #ytshorts
