Description

What if Earth's ground stopped rotating instantly while loose objects, the air and the oceans kept their motion? At the equator, Earth's rotation carries you east at about 1,600–1,700 kilometres per hour. That speed gets lower toward the poles. Suddenly stopping the ground would not instantly stop everything on it: inertia keeps moving objects moving until forces change their motion. Gravity would still act. This is an imaginary thought experiment, not a prediction or a physically plausible stopping mechanism. It assumes the ground stops while loose objects retain their initial motion. The animation simplifies the immediate effects; it is not a full disaster simulation. Stopping rotation does not mean stopping Earth's orbit or switching off gravity. Original cartoon animation using AI-generated artwork and AI narration.
