Description

He built a trillion-dollar currency. Then he deleted himself. On 31 October 2008, a nine-page paper appeared on a cryptography mailing list. It was signed "Satoshi Nakamoto." No photograph. No résumé. No verifiable identity. For two years he wrote code and answered emails almost daily. Then in April 2011 he sent one last message — "I've moved on to other things" — and was never heard from again. He left behind a wallet holding roughly 1,000,000 Bitcoin. Tens of billions of dollars. It has never moved. Not once. Not a single coin. Journalists chased him across three continents. Newsweek put a man's face on its cover — he denied it, and the story fell apart. One man swore under oath he was Satoshi; in March 2024 a UK court ruled he wasn't, and that his documents were forged. Nearly two decades later, nobody knows who he is. We made the full documentary.
