Description

When elementary school teacher Hannah Freeman claimed she was just meeting her ex-boyfriend for a peaceful dinner at Raising Cane's, Westlake, Ohio police officers already knew she was lying. Her shocking arrest in a middle school parking lot went viral—but it was the Flock Safety license plate cameras that blew the entire case wide open. 🔍 THE FLOCK CAMERA FACTOR Stalking cases are famously difficult to prove—it’s often one person's word against another. But Westlake investigators deployed their network of Flock Safety Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) to pull the ultimate digital receipt. • The Proof: Freeman claimed she was invited. The Flock cameras proved her car stalked the victim's school 33 times across 19 days in a single month. • The Verdict: This undeniable automated timeline completely dismantled her defense and forced a guilty plea. 💎THE ORIGINAL CHARGES (The Felony Indictment) Following her arrest in November 2024, a Cuyahoga County grand jury handed down a severe multi-count felony indictment. Because she had not only stalked the victim but had also broken into his vehicle to steal a laptop, a wallet, and personal medication, her original charges included: • Menacing by Stalking • Burglary • Theft / Aggravated Theft • Identity Fraud (for running up unauthorized charges on his Amazon account) • Theft of Drugs (for taking prescription medication from his vehicle) 💎HOW THE CHARGES WERE REDUCED Because Freeman had no prior criminal record, prosecutors worked with her defense attorney and consulted with the victim to formulate a plea agreement. In June 2025, a deal was reached where all five original felony charges were dropped and dismissed by the state. In exchange, Freeman agreed to bypass a trial and plead guilty directly to a newly filed set of lesser misdemeanor offenses. 💎THE ULTIMATE CHARGES Freeman ultimately pleaded guilty to three reduced misdemeanor charges: • Disorderly Conduct • Obstructing Official Business • Possessing Criminal Tools 💎SERVED JAIL TIME Judge David Matia sentenced Freeman to serve 7 days in the Cuyahoga County Jail. Her defense attorney aggressively argued against jail time, claiming they had an understanding with prosecutors that she would only receive probation. However, the judge emphasized that the court is never bound by non-binding sentencing recommendations. He ordered her to be handcuffed and taken to jail immediately to serve the 7-day sentence, which was followed by 90 days of electronic house arrest and 18 months of probation. Hannah Freeman’s jail sentence started immediately on July 17, 2025. She is still on probation today at the time that this video was posted.
