Mundelein, Illinois police officers responded to a call regarding a passed out driver behind the wheel stopped at a busy intersection. The officers approached the parked Ford Focus and woke up the driver. The suspect was eventually arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and transported to the Mundelein Police Department. Upon arrival, the suspect, Jack, was unable to walk without assistance and was physically escorted to the DUI processing room. Jack participated in a field sobriety test. He failed so badly that the test was stopped due to safety concerns. Jack consented to providing a breath alcohol content (BrAC) sample. The sample yielded a result of .248% BrAC. This is over three times the legal limit (.08% BrAC) to drive in the State of Illinois.
