Description

Cosmic-ray particles found an empty corridor behind the Great Pyramid's north face, and a pencil-thin camera finally saw inside it in 2023 with no treasure, only bare limestone and a peaked roof built to carry weight. This video traces how muon scanning actually works, why Luis Alvarez's 1968 experiment found nothing and why that mattered, and how three independent teams confirmed a second, much larger void above the Grand Gallery in 2017. It follows the real disagreement between the scientists who found these spaces and the Egyptologists, including Zahi Hawass and Mark Lehner, who argue they are construction gaps, not hidden rooms. Along the way it compares the unfinished relieving chambers above the King's Chamber to the newly scanned corridor, visits a newly reported void behind polished granite on the pyramid of Menkaure, and lays out Fermilab's plan for a full 3D muon scan of Khufu's pyramid. The viewer walks away with a clear, evidence-based test for what these spaces really are, straight from how the builders themselves worked.
