The Pressure Behind Building a $4 Trillion Company | Jensen Huang

What does it really take to build something extraordinary? Jensen Huang helped build NVIDIA into one of the most influential companies in the world. But behind that extraordinary success is a story of difficult decisions, enormous pressure, uncertainty, sacrifice, and the determination to keep moving forward. In this powerful conversation with Lex Fridman, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang opens up about the psychological challenges of leadership, the risks that nearly threatened the company's future, and the mindset that helped him navigate decades of setbacks. He admits that even after reaching extraordinary success, he still experiences psychological low points. Success doesn't mean pressure disappears. It means learning how to handle it. In this video, Jensen shares: - How NVIDIA took an enormous financial risk by investing in CUDA - Why some of the most important decisions take years to pay off - How he approaches uncertainty and makes difficult decisions - Why he believes curiosity and conviction are essential - How he handles psychological low points and overwhelming pressure - Why breaking problems into smaller pieces helps him stay focused - How to move forward after failure, embarrassment, and setbacks - Why intelligence alone isn't enough to achieve extraordinary things - What character, determination, compassion, and humanity mean to him - Why passing on knowledge and helping others grow matters more than personal recognition One of Jensen's most powerful lessons is that we cannot avoid every setback. We have to develop the endurance to face them, learn what we can, and keep moving toward the future we believe in. He also explains why being surrounded by people who are smarter or more knowledgeable doesn't make someone less valuable. Our character, experience, determination, and humanity matter just as much. Whether you're building a business, pursuing a career, facing rejection, dealing with pressure, or trying to achieve something that feels impossible, this conversation is a reminder that the path to meaningful success is rarely comfortable.
