📗 Get My Complete Poultry Guides Here: https://angusdouglaspoultry.com/ 🔗 Everything I know about keeping a flock healthy and laying is in my guides: https://angusdouglaspoultry.com When the eggs stop coming, most keepers blame the cold, the heat, or the age of the birds. Nine times out of ten it's what's in the feeder. In this video I go through the 12 things I'd put in front of a laying flock, from a single clove of garlic crushed into damp grain to the eggshells you were about to bin. I'll show you how to ferment a bucket of corn in three days, why calcium goes in a separate dish and never stirred into the feed, and the one mistake with vinegar in a galvanised drinker that costs people birds. Most of this I learned from my grandfather at the feed bin on this croft. Some of it I've had to learn the hard way since, and I'll tell you which is which. I also lay out the whole week as it runs here, and I'm honest about what feed can't fix: short days, the molt, and an old hen. If your nest boxes are emptier than they should be and you don't want to spend a penny more on feed, start with these.
