Description

📘 My book — The German Shepherd Decoder: https://tailtell.gumroad.com/l/decoder 50 behaviors, one per page, and what each one means. There is a moment that happens in almost every German Shepherd household, and almost nobody notices it. The doorbell rings. Before your dog looks at the door, he looks at you. What happens in the next ten seconds depends far more on what he reads in your face than on who is standing outside. That glance is a test. Not a challenge, not stubbornness, not him deciding whether he outranks you. It is a question, asked in the only language he has, and it goes something like this. You have seen this before. What does this one mean? German Shepherds ask that question more than most dogs do. They were shaped for centuries to work a few steps away from a person and to keep checking in, and that wiring did not switch off when the breed moved into living rooms. So your dog runs small, quiet tests on you all day long. Most owners never see them. Some owners see them and read them as problems.
