4 Things Aurora Did Better Than Anyone - And 1 Mistake it Never Survived

Aurora Plastics was the company behind the monster model kits that filled every hobby shop and dime store in the 1960s. They made Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolf Man, King Kong, Godzilla and the 1966 Batmobile, plus Model Motoring slot cars with the Thunderjet motor, AFX and Prehistoric Scenes. This toy history deep-dive covers four things Aurora did better than Revell, Monogram or anyone else. You'll see their cheap kits built for kids, their Universal Monsters licenses, James Bama's movie-style box art and the slot cars that took over Saturday afternoons. Then comes the 1971 Nabisco sale that broke this American nostalgia icon. #aurora #nostalgia #modelkits #universalmonsters #slotcars Help us reach our goal of 100,000 Subscribers! 🙏🏼 Subscribe: @Yestertainment Special thanks to the following channels for the footage.
