What Happened to Aurora Prehistoric Scenes? | The Lost World Kids Built on Their Floor

What happened to Aurora Prehistoric Scenes? In 1973, Aurora released a line of snap-together dinosaur model kits whose bases locked together, so kids could build a lost world on their bedroom floor. There were 17 kits in all: cavemen, a tar pit, a woolly mammoth and a 35-inch glow-in-the-dark Tyrannosaurus Rex. Then the oil crisis hit, Nabisco walked away from Aurora, and the molds went to Monogram. The creatures came back through Monogram, Revell and Atlantis Models. The terrain kits never did. This is the rise and fall of the most ambitious 70s toys and vintage model kits ever made. #dinosaur #modelbuilding #plasticmodels #plasticmodelkits #modelkits Help us reach our goal of 100,000 Subscribers! 🙏🏼 Subscribe: @Yestertainment Special thanks to the following channels for the footage.
