The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eliminate a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. Jujutsu Kaisen is a sequel to Akutami's Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School, serialized in Shueisha's Jump Giga from April to July 2017, later collected in a single tankōbon volume, retroactively titled as Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in December 2018. An anime television series adaptation, produced by MAPPA, aired its first season on MBS from October 2020 to March 2021; a second season aired from July to December 2023. A third season covering the "Culling Game" arc is set to premiere in January 2026. The third season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime television series is based on the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami. An animated adaptation of the manga was originally announced in the 52nd issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, which was published in November 2019.[1] Following the conclusion of the second season, an unspecified anime sequel covering the "Culling Game" story arc from the manga was announced. In August 2025, it was announced that the sequel would be the series' third season, currently titled The Culling Game: Part 1 (死滅回游 前編, Shimetsu Kaiyū: Zenpen), which premiered with a one-hour special featuring the first two episodes of the season on January 9, 2026. Shōta Goshozono returns from the previous season to direct, with Hiroshi Seko and Yoshimasa Terui respectively returning as series composition writer and music composer. The Culling Game: Part 1 concluded with an extended 27-minute episode on March 27, 2026. The season is adapting the manga's "Itadori's Extermination", "Perfect Preparation", and "Culling Game" story arcs. The plot follows the Jujutsu Sorcerers entering the Culling Game, with the main objective of fighting off Kenjaku and freeing Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm. A compilation film of Shibuya Incident, which also featured the first two episodes of The Culling Game: Part 1, premiered in Japanese theaters on November 7, 2025, under the title Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution. The season is licensed by Crunchyroll for streaming outside of Asia, and began streaming an English dub on January 22, 2026. jujutsu kaisen, jujutsu kaisen season 3,culling games, gojo satoru, kimetsu no yaiba infinity castle, demon slayer infinity castle, shinobu kocho, chainsaw man, chainsaw man reze arc,aki hayakawa, dandadan, jiji, evil eye, deku, izuku midoriya,my hero academia final season, boku no hero final season, makima, denji, reze, angel devil, denreze, akiangel, chainsaw man manga, csm manga, gun devil arc, control devil, death battle, mahito, shigaraki, dabi, toga, nanami, itadori, yuta okkotsu, ryu ishigori, uro takako, kurourushi, domain expansion, sendai colony, ninjaristicninja, jjk mmv, jujutsu kaisen mmv
