Description
Blessed Assurance returns in a new Southern Gospel arrangement by Brother Golston, bringing the beloved Christian hymn into the warmth of old-time gospel, country gospel and heartfelt worship centered on Jesus Christ.
Some hymns belong to more than one generation.
They were sung by our grandparents.
Carried into little country churches.
Remembered through difficult seasons.
And somehow, after all these years, their message still feels personal.
Blessed Assurance is one of those hymns.
This Brother Golston version honors the timeless message of the original while bringing it into our Revival Country Gospel sound — a song of assurance, salvation and the joy of belonging to Jesus.
“Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!”
ABOUT THIS SONG
Originally written in 1873, Blessed Assurance has carried its message of Christian faith for generations.
The original lyrics were written by Fanny J. Crosby, with music by Phoebe P. Knapp.
This Brother Golston interpretation features adapted lyrics and a new arrangement and production while preserving the heart of the historic hymn: confidence in Jesus Christ and the promise of salvation.
It begins simply.
Warm acoustic guitar.
Piano.
A familiar declaration:
“Jesus is mine.”
Then the voices rise.
The arrangement grows.
And an old hymn becomes a new declaration of faith.
Different generation.
Different recording.
Same Jesus.
Same assurance.

LYRICS – BLESSED ASSURANCE
[Verse 1]
Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
[Chorus]
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days;
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days.
[Verse 2]
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
[Chorus]
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days;
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days.
[Bridge]
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
[Chorus]
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days;
This is my witness, this is my praise,
Singing of Jesus through all of my days.
[Outro]
Singing of Jesus...
Through all of my days.
