BATMAN vs THE NUN – THE CONTINGENCY PLAN [FAN ANIMATED SHORT]

What happens when Batman faces an enemy that cannot be defeated with strength, technology, or conventional weapons? After a series of disturbing deaths leads Batman to evidence of an ancient supernatural presence, his investigation uncovers something far more dangerous than a normal criminal: Valak. The deeper Batman investigates, the clearer it becomes that this entity feeds on fear, manipulates reality, and can attack the mind as easily as the body. With conventional weapons nearly useless, Batman is forced to prepare a completely different kind of contingency plan. With the help of John Constantine and Zatanna, Batman learns that Valak can only be contained while fully manifested. He prepares a ritual trap inside an abandoned gothic church, using a mysterious burned occult seal, consecrated ritual stakes, supernatural containment technology, and multiple backup systems. But once Valak appears, the plan begins to fall apart. Batman is forced to endure terrifying hallucinations, psychological attacks, supernatural violence, and the memories of his own past while secretly guiding the demon exactly where he needs her to be. And even when the trap finally closes... Batman knows better than anyone that one contingency is never enough.
