Description
You are not the first human. Homo sapiens, our species, has only been around for about 300,000 years. But the human story stretches back much further - over 2 million years. And for most of that time, we weren’t the only humans on Earth. There were others. Cousins and distant relatives like Neanderthals, Denisovans, Homo erectus living alongside us and sometimes interbreeding. But they were also competing with us for food, shelter and survival in a harsh prehistoric world. So which of these ancient human species was the toughest? The strongest to ever live?
This video dives deep into our hominin family tree to analyze which of our ancestors and extinct relatives was the most physically powerful. We’ll examine the muscular, barrel-chested Neanderthals who could wield thrusting spears to take down mammoths up close. The mysterious Denisovans whose huge teeth, broad fingers and dense bones hint at immense strength. The tall, lean Homo erectus built to chase down prey for hours in the scorching African sun.
But we’ll also look at how Homo sapiens, with our unmatched ability to throw projectiles, coordinate in strategic groups and pass on knowledge over generations, emerged as the ultimate survivors. We may not be the brawniest hominins ever, but our brains, social skills and adaptability proved to be the strongest features of all - the ones that let us conquer the globe as the last human species standing.
Join us for a journey through time and evolution as we meet our long-lost kin, celebrate their awe-inspiring strength, and uncover what their legacy means for our species today. How will we use our world-changing power? What responsibilities come with being the strongest? Grab your spears and let’s find out.
