Description

My fiancée and I were seven weeks away from our wedding when I discovered $8,000 missing from our wedding fund. When I asked her where the money went, she packed a bag and left. Four days later, I was served with a temporary protection order at work. So I followed it. I stopped contacting her, redirected my paycheck, and when our apartment lease came up for renewal, I refused to sign another year as her guarantor. She says what I did afterward proved her point. I thought I was accepting that our relationship was over. But once I finally learned where the missing money went, the situation became a lot more complicated. AITA for refusing to renew the lease and continue financially supporting the life we were building after my fiancée got a protection order against me? Let me know who you think was wrong in the comments.
