Description

Dating apps were supposed to make dating easier. Instead, for many people in Gen Z, they’ve made dating feel exhausting, transactional, and almost impossible. In this video, we look at how dating apps changed the way Gen Z meets people, communicates, forms relationships, and approaches love. From endless swiping and unrealistic choice to ghosting, situationships, talking stages, and the pressure to constantly find someone “better,” dating has become a completely different experience. Gen Z grew up with Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, and other dating apps but now more young people are questioning whether these platforms actually help them find meaningful relationships. So what went wrong? Did dating apps give us too many choices? Did swiping turn people into products? And why does dating feel so exhausting for Gen Z? This is a look at how dating apps changed modern dating and why Gen Z may finally be getting tired of playing the game.
