Learn how to make AI videos with CapCut PC as an AI filmmaking tool, create widescreen and vertical edits in one project, and get a look ahead to Seed Audio 1.5.
Four giants surround one hooded stranger. He doesn’t run.
In this tutorial, I create STORMBORN, an original fantasy short, and show how character references, multi-track editing, sound design, and Multiple Timelines turn separate AI-generated scenes into a complete film.
I start in CapCut Video Studio by creating character sheets with Nano Banana 2.1: the God of Thunder, his concealed appearance, a winged unicorn, and the four giant opponents. Then I use those references with Seedance 2.5 to generate the film’s scenes.
After transferring the footage with Edit more on CapCut Desktop, I arrange the clips in story order and use AI Extend to continue the ending, giving the film title more room.
For sound, I use Extract Audio, smooth the joins with short fades, and apply Enhance Voice to the dialogue. I add thunder, wind, creature impacts, wing sounds, and instrumental music on separate tracks.
With Edit Pilot, I lower selected sound effects by 15 decibels and selected music clips by 20 decibels. I also request a filter that complements the film’s stormy atmosphere and review the look across the shots.
Using Multiple Timelines, I create a vertical version for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts without replacing the widescreen edit. I copy the complete sequence into Timeline Two, reframe individual shots, and adapt the STORMBORN title for both layouts while retaining the same story and timing.
This tutorial is for filmmakers, video editors, and creators who want to build cinematic scenes and adapt their finished work for different screens.
This video is sponsored by CapCut. STORMBORN is an original fictional film created for this demonstration.

Planned support for separate audio tracks and precise timestamp control will give creators more control over individual sound elements and their timing. This is a preview of upcoming capabilities, not a feature demonstrated in the film’s production.
