Description

If you want to walk up into this country and come back down alive: www.Otisboone.com Somewhere at the bottom of Lake Lanier are close to thirty people nobody has ever found, and I would not put one foot in that water. Lake Lanier in north Georgia is one of the busiest lakes in America, and one of the deadliest. The state of Georgia counted 210 people killed on it in 25 years. But the drowned aren't the worst of it. When they built this lake in the 1950s, they didn't clear the bottom. And some of what's under that water happened on that ground long before the lake ever came. In this video, a local from these mountains tells you why he stays on the bank: What the government left standing at the bottom of Lake Lanier The ways this lake kills people they never see coming, and the two things you need to know if you swim there anyway The Lady of the Lake, the real 1958 story behind the woman in the blue dress The church bells swimmers swear they hear from under the water What happened on that ground in 1912, and why it's worse than any ghost story If you've ever stood on a dock up there and felt like that lake didn't want you in it, stay to the end. Subscribe for more of what these mountains, and the water below them, have been through. #LakeLanier #Appalachia #AppalachianFolklore #HauntedLake #LadyOfTheLake #Georgia #NorthGeorgia #TrueStory #Oscarville #ForsythCounty #GhostStories #AppalachianMountains #DarkHistory #Unexplained #OtisBoone
