You Still Drink These, But Not Like This: 1970s Product Redesigns

Same names. Same shelves. Almost nothing else survived. I lined up 15 drinks from the 1970s next to the versions sold today, and the gap is wider than memory admits. The Uncola artwork on a 7Up can. The barefoot hillbilly on an early Mountain Dew bottle. Lil' Squirt on the grapefruit soda. Punchy asking that one dangerous question. The numbers 10, 2 and 4 printed right on a Dr Pepper bottle. Tang in a jar big enough to feel like astronaut supplies. Hi-C in a metal can you had to attack with a can opener, twice. Some of these brands only changed their face. Fresca changed what was inside it three separate times. Coca-Cola changed the bottle in your hand. Sprite gave up the green in 2022 after decades of it being the whole identity. And one drink on this list didn't survive at all. Drinks covered: RC Cola, 7Up, Mountain Dew, Kool-Aid, Hawaiian Punch, Dr Pepper, Sunkist, Fresca, Squirt, Coca-Cola, Tang, Sprite, Pepsi, Hi-C, Tab. Which one looks the most different from the version you remember? Tell me in the comments.
