They Shared a Bathroom Made From a Pigsty — We Had to Fix It

They shared a bathroom made from an old pigsty. For three teenage girls, there was almost no privacy. The floor was covered in moss, the space was exposed, and even taking a shower was something they simply had to make do with. Their 76-year-old grandfather was doing everything he could to support the family by farming. The three sisters were just as hardworking. During their summer break, they woke up early every morning to help their grandfather harvest corn before we even arrived. So we decided to do more than just build them a safe, private bathroom. We renovated their bedroom, built new wardrobes and desks, and turned a cluttered storage space into a private bedroom for the oldest sister, who is preparing for the college entrance exam. Before school started, we also took the three girls to the county town for a day of fun. They had studied there for years, but had never had the chance to really explore it. Most of their clothes were hand-me-downs, so this time, we wanted them to choose some new clothes of their own. The grandfather works hard for his granddaughters. The girls quietly share his burden and work hard for their future. Our renovation may only be a small part of their journey, but we hope it brings a little more comfort, confidence, and color to their lives. Sometimes, a better home can give someone a little more strength to dream about a better future. ❤️ #renovation #cleanwithme #beforeandafter #helpingothers
