Only a Footpath Was Left in His Home — We Cleared It All

A 60-year-old man had been living alone for years, surrounded by belongings he had collected over time. In his roughly 60-square-meter home, there was barely enough space to walk. Every room was filled with things, while a narrow path through the middle of the house was the only clear space. His daughter reached out to us because she was worried about her father's safety. The home had already experienced two fires, and she wanted to help him create a safer and more manageable living environment. We spent four days cleaning the home, starting with his bedroom, which took us 10 hours to restore. We then moved through the kitchen, living room, dining area, and bathroom. Along the way, we found countless boxes of beads from his online shopping, a refrigerator filled with expired and spoiled food, and even newborn mice hiding beneath a mattress. His daughter stayed by our side throughout the cleanup, helping decide what should stay and what could finally go. This was more than just cleaning a messy home. It was a chance to give a father and daughter a fresh start — and hopefully, a home that can stay clean and safe for a long time to come.
