Description

In October 2019, a licensed appraiser spent forty minutes measuring my house for a refinance. He measured the outside first, then the inside — and the two numbers didn't match. They never quite do, in any house. That gap, between what a house is on the outside and what you can actually walk through on the inside, is where I built a room that isn't on any plan, doesn't read as a room, and that a stranger walks straight past without ever knowing it is there. This isn't a bunker, and it isn't a panic-room sales pitch. It's the one idea behind concealment that most people get backwards: a hidden room was never about the door. You will learn why every house on your street already has the space for one, the difference between a room that is hidden and a room that is merely locked, how a concealed space reads to someone who is searching, and the single wall in your own home most likely to be hiding one right now. Nothing here is illegal, and none of it is about hiding from anyone but a stranger inside your own home. Tell me in the comments whether you would build one — and which wall in your house you would start with. The one with the most comments gets its own full build-walkthrough next. Everything here is public, legal, and about your own home and your family's safety. #homesecurity #hiddenroom #saferoom #privacy #seniorsafety #protectyourhome #homedefense #concealment
