Description

This video names Shadrack Sibiya, Serge Cabonge, Mr M, Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala, Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, Sizakele Dlamini, Gregory Wings, Tebogo Thobejane, Babita Deokaran, Witness C, Shamila Batohi, Hangwani Maumela, Morgan Maumela, Feroz Khan. A 25-minute, 18-second secret recording the defence did not want played was played in the Randburg Magistrate's Court anyway. The magistrate ordered it. It is now Exhibit M. On that tape, Serge Cabonge, once famous as South Africa's "International Blesser," denies carrying Cat Matlala's money, names Sergeant Fannie Nkosi, and claims somebody linked to the Madlanga Commission told him to leave the country and offered protection. Those are allegations. They are not findings. Shadrack Sibiya , the former deputy national commissioner, is out of SAPS after a dishonourable discharge. The State says the charges include sexual grooming, rape, trafficking and a firearms-related count. He has not been convicted. Bail was postponed to Wednesday, 14 October. Mr M is on the other side of the recording. Witness C has alleged payments tied to Cat Matlala, including R300,000 linked to a wedding and R2 million for a property project. Cabonge's words on the tape are not the same thing as those payment claims. Listen for the difference.
