MEXICAN CARTELS IN SOUTH AFRICA? Lebeya’s Sinaloa Claim & The Groblersdal R2 Billion Lab Locations discussed include Hartbeespoort Dam, Skeerpoort, Brits, Erasmia, Pretoria, Groblersdal, Rietfontein, Tshwane, Volksrust, Swartruggens, Musina, Cape Town, Durban, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, South Africa, Nigeria, Oyo, Mozambique, Australia, the United States, Europe, Canada, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Africa. A US general told the Senate there were Sinaloa Cartel members on site at a South African drug laboratory. Godfrey Lebeya, then head of the Hawks, said the Mexican accused in the Groblersdal case appeared to be linked to Sinaloa, in a suspected meth laboratory initially valued by police at approximately R2 billion. Since July 2024, police have uncovered alleged drug laboratories at Groblersdal, Rietfontein, Volksrust, Swartruggens, Musina, Erasmia — and now near Hartbeespoort Dam. The numbers are staggering. But the numbers and the proof are not the same thing. Erasmia was allegedly capable of producing around 800,000 Mandrax tablets a day, while police said a second laboratory setup was allegedly being prepared to manufacture crystal meth. Musina was valued at approximately R600 million. At Swartruggens, forensic material analysed weighed approximately 379kg. That does NOT mean 379kg of pure methamphetamine. And at Hartbeespoort, police arrested four people after allegedly discovering processed drugs, drug-manufacturing equipment, a rifle and three handguns. Police spokesperson Colonel Adéle Myburgh had not, at the time of the reporting reviewed for this video, provided a verified quantity or value for the drugs allegedly recovered. And importantly: Nothing in the reporting reviewed for this video confirms that the Hartbeespoort operation was connected to the Sinaloa Cartel — or any Mexican cartel. So who paid for the equipment? Who controlled the properties? Who supplied the expertise? And who was ultimately intended to receive the drugs? Archive images from older drug-laboratory cases should not be interpreted as footage from the Hartbeespoort raid. All accused persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. Rand values and production-capacity figures are attributed estimates from police, prosecutors or reporting and should not be interpreted as independently verified profits or quantities of finished drugs. General Dagvin Anderson’s “11 out of 12” statement concerned the operations he was discussing across partner countries. It did NOT mean that 11 out of 12 South African drug laboratories contained cartel members. #SinaloaCartel #SouthAfrica #Hartbeespoort #DrugBust #Mandrax #MexicanCartels
