In 2023 it leased the building to G-Unit for $2,400 a year, and in 2025 it leased StageWorks to G-Unit for the same price. In May 2026, the council voted unanimously to extend the Millennium lease to 99 years. The state promised up to $50 million, paid only as a reimbursement, with a clawback of 100% if the first project year is missed. 50 Cent owns the downtown land he bought, but not the two studios.
