Kevin O'Leary was the only shark to make an offer: $700,000 for a 10% royalty dropping to 7% after he recouped, plus 5% equity. Siminoff's counteroffer was a loan at 10% interest with a 3% equity kicker. O'Leary said he was not interested. Years later, O'Leary describes that loan as his own offer, and his number keeps growing: "a hundred million extra dollars" on CNBC in 2018, "about $600 million" in N Magazine in 2021, "about 800 million" on Logan Paul's Impaulsive podcast in 2022. We put every version next to the episode, Amazon's 10-K and Siminoff's own sales figures. Our estimate of what the on-air deal would have been worth by the time Amazon closed: roughly $60 to $75 million.
