Description

Hieroglyphs · Lesson 06 Two signs reveal an expression of royal power: • **Ka** — “bull” • **Nakht** — “strong” or “victorious” Together: **ka-nakht — “Strong Bull,”** also translated as **“Victorious Bull.”** This expression commonly begins the **Horus names of New Kingdom kings**. The Horus name is traditionally written inside a **serekh**—a frame representing a palace façade, usually topped by the falcon of Horus. In this inscription, the highlighted bull and arm signs let you recognize the opening words yourself. Two small signs, a powerful royal statement. Have you spotted this expression on an Egyptian statue or temple wall? #Hieroglyphs #AncientEgypt #Egyptology #Pharaohs #BeautifulHistory
