Description

🔒 Ray's complete walkthrough — every door, window & lock fix in one guide (+ the $3 screw most homes are missing): 👉 https://raykessler.vercel.app This is the little gray remote that came with my house. The man who sold it to me handed me one remote and one key. What he didn't hand me was the other two remotes, the keypad code, and the button in the ceiling of the car he'd sold the year before. Every one of them still opened my garage — and from my garage to my kitchen there's a door nobody ever locked. Your garage door opener keeps a list of every remote it has ever learned, and that list doesn't clear when the house sells. In this video I show you how to wipe it with one button in about two minutes, and six more fixes, in order from free to the one real expense. • The learn button on the motor: hold it (about six seconds on the most common brands) and every old remote, keypad and car button is forgotten at once. Brands differ — check the sticker on your motor or the manual. • The keypad code the last family knew, and the phone app that may still list the old owner. • The car you sold (clear the built-in buttons and the saved home address) and the remote on the visor of the car parked outside. • The door between the garage and the house: lock it, three-inch screws in the strike plate, and a deadbolt. They are not free, and I'd rather tell you that here. 1. The One Afternoon Door — the door job in order: screws, strike plate, deadbolt. 2. The $1,500 Phone Call — what to say when you're locked out late at night and have to call a stranger. 3. Nothing To Buy — fixes that cost nothing, for people who rent. RELATED — "Your Car Key Is Talking All Night" is on this channel: same idea, different door. Procedures vary by brand and model. When in doubt, follow your opener's manual.
