Don Murray & Diane Varsi in One of the Most Intense Western Dramas of the 1950s

Tod Lohman is a young cowboy on the run after killing a powerful rancher's son in self-defense. Knowing that the man's father will never stop hunting him, Tod leaves everything behind and rides across the harsh Texas landscape. The rancher sends a group of ruthless gunmen after him, determined to bring the fugitive back dead or alive. With every mile, Tod becomes more desperate to escape the men following his trail. During his journey, Tod finds temporary shelter with Amos Bradley, a rancher who understands that the young man is being hunted. But hiding him puts Amos and his family in danger, while the pursuing gunmen continue closing the distance. Tod must decide whether to keep running or finally stand his ground against the powerful rancher and his hired killers. As the pursuit reaches its climax, he discovers that surviving the frontier may require more courage than simply knowing how to use a gun.
