Vishal’s four younger brothers support his love marriage and help him marry Pooja. However, Sugandha and her daughter Neema refuse to accept Pooja and treat her cruelly. On her very first day, Pooja is humiliated and physically abused when she offers to prepare the traditional first meal for the family. On Raksha Bandhan, Vishal takes Pooja shopping for her brother and mother, but Sugandha and her husband prevent her from visiting her maternal home. They even lock her in a storeroom and force her to hide the truth from her brother when he comes to meet her. Six months later, Vishal’s four brothers return home with their wives—Komal, Sona, Kangana, and Payal. Unlike Sugandha, the four new daughters-in-law are modern, confident, and compassionate. They quickly notice how Pooja is treated and begin supporting her. Eventually, they discover that Pooja is terrified of celebrating Raksha Bandhan because of what happened to her the previous year. Determined to give Pooja the happiness she deserves, the four sisters-in-law secretly invite her mother Gayatri and brother Rajat for Raksha Bandhan. They also restrain Sugandha, Neema, and Lokesh so that they cannot stop the celebration. When the family returns, a shocking truth is revealed: Sugandha and Gayatri were childhood friends. Years ago, Sugandha believed that Gayatri had turned her brother against her after he refused to accept her Rakhi. In reality, Gayatri had never said anything against her. Sugandha’s brother later regretted his words and died wishing to meet his sister. Realizing her mistake, Sugandha apologizes to Gayatri. The two friends reconcile, Pooja finally celebrates Raksha Bandhan with her family, and the entire household comes together happily.
