Why Jim Carrey Needed Special Training to Survive the Grinch Makeup 🤔

Jim Carrey nearly quit How the Grinch Stole Christmas after spending eight hours in makeup on his very first day. The itchy green costume, restrictive prosthetics, and uncomfortable contact lenses made the transformation so unbearable that he told director Ron Howard he couldn’t continue. Producer Brian Grazer then brought in Richard Marcinko, a former Navy SEAL commander who had trained CIA operatives to endure torture. Marcinko gave Carrey techniques to cope with the discomfort, but the real surprise was what finally helped him get through the makeup sessions: listening to the Bee Gees! #JimCarrey #TheGrinch #HowTheGrinchStoleChristmas #Shorts
