💜 *पानी ने डांडिया तोड़ दी?! 😱 | Kanha’s Navratri Light Mystery | STEM Story for Kids*

Kanha, Radha, Tara and Madhumangal are getting ready for a colourful Navratri celebration when something impossible happens! Madhumangal accidentally places part of a beautiful dandiya stick inside a transparent vessel filled with water. He looks from the side and freezes… 😱 *THE DANDA LOOKS BROKEN!* Madhumangal shouts: *“Kanha! Dandiya टूट गई!”* But nobody broke it. Kanha takes the dandiya out of the water and suddenly… ✨ *It is perfectly straight again!* Madhumangal cannot believe his eyes. He puts it back into the water. ➡️ Broken-looking! Takes it out. ➡️ Straight! Back inside. ➡️ Bent again! Madhumangal finally declares: *“ये पानी dandiya तोड़ता भी है और जोड़ता भी है!”* 😂 But Kanha knows there must be a scientific explanation. ## 🔍 THE INVESTIGATION The friends test several straight objects: 🪄 Colourful dandiya 🌸 Straight flower stem 🥄 Straight stick/spoon Every object is perfectly straight outside the water. But when partly submerged… the underwater portion appears shifted or bent! Kanha asks the most important question: *“अगर ये सच में टूट रही हैं, बाहर निकलते ही सीधी कैसे हो जाती हैं?”* That question leads to the mystery’s real answer. ## 💡 THE SCIENCE REVEAL Kanha explains: *“चीज़ नहीं मुड़ी—रोशनी का रास्ता मुड़ा।”* When light travels between water and air, its direction changes. Because our eyes receive the light along this changed path, the underwater part of the dandiya appears to be in a slightly different position. That makes the straight dandiya LOOK bent or broken. This phenomenon is called: 🌟 *REFRACTION — प्रकाश का अपवर्तन* The dandiya never actually broke. The light changed direction. ## 😲 SECOND LIGHT MYSTERY Kanha then gives Madhumangal another challenge. A small coin is placed inside a vessel where Madhumangal cannot see it because the rim blocks his view. Madhumangal stays completely still. The coin does not move. Radha slowly adds water… and suddenly— 🪙 *THE COIN APPEARS!* Madhumangal shouts: *“Kanha! ये अचानक कहाँ से आ गया?!”* But the coin never moved. Once again, water changed the path of the light reaching his eyes.
