Description

On April 19, 1995, a domestic terrorist named Timothy McVeigh detonated a truck bomb outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One hundred and sixty-eight people were killed, including nineteen children. More than six hundred others were injured. Most were told they were fine. They were not fine. This Funeral Report documentary examines what happened after the explosion: the forensic identification effort that became a national model, the long-term health consequences that survivors and first responders spent years trying to prove, the compensation battles that left hundreds without support, and the memorial disputes that revealed how difficult it is to grieve publicly in America. Through the stories of survivor Daina Bradley, the last person pulled alive from the rubble, and Bud Welch, who lost his daughter Julie, this video tells the Oklahoma City story that most people have never heard. The bomb went off in four seconds. The damage is still happening.
