“Leave or We Kill You”-Madlanga ROCKED by Prison Secrets

During testimony before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, National Commissioner of Correctional Services Makgothi Samuel Thobakgale addressed the 2022 escape of Thabo Bester from Mangaung Correctional Centre, describing alleged collusion between prison officials and Bester's associates, and separately referenced testimony indicating an inmate was told "either you leave or we are going to kill you" after moving toward naming corrupt officers in court proceedings, which allegedly led to a further escape. Thobakgale also testified that a senior police general visited Katiso "KT" Molefe in custody in a vehicle without a registration plate, delivering food and clothing while identifying himself as Molefe's brother-in-law, a relationship Molefe denied, and confirmed he had no information on whether the incident was reported to SAPS. Additional testimony covered the unauthorised 2024 transfer of gang leader George "The Lord" Thomas from Ebongweni Super Maximum without Thobakgale's approval, an attempted murder of a correctional centre head following an inmate transfer. #madlangacommission #thabobester #ktmolefe #catmatlala
