Description

Steve Irwin and Robert Irwin fed the same crocodile, Murray, 15 years apart at Australia Zoo. Their story connects one of Steve’s most controversial public demonstrations with his son’s later work in wildlife education. On 2 January 2004, Steve fed Murray while carrying his 1-month-old son, also known as Bob. The demonstration drew international criticism over the infant’s proximity to the crocodile. In July 2019, 15-year-old Robert shared photographs comparing himself and his father feeding Murray in the same location. The images highlighted his continuation of the family’s work with crocodiles. Steve’s wildlife programmes introduced millions of viewers to reptiles and conservation. Robert’s work at Australia Zoo continues that educational focus, including crocodile demonstrations and participation in wildlife research. #animals #wildlife #nature #natureholic #SteveIrwin #RobertIrwin Nature, wildlife, animals, animal facts, wildlife facts, nature facts, animal behaviour, animal behavior, animal kingdom, animal adaptations, biodiversity, natural world, wildlife encounters, nature shorts, Steve Irwin, Robert Irwin, Murray crocodile, Australia Zoo, crocodile feeding, Irwin wildlife legacy
