Never The Taste | Upbeat Fantasy Tavern & D&D Drinking Song (Lyrics Video)

#MedievalFolk #TavernMusic #DnDMusic "Never The Taste" is an upbeat medieval tavern folk-pop song about an elf who cannot understand why anyone willingly orders a second mug of ale. As the night unfolds, she realizes the drink is rarely the point. What people return for is the braver confession, the foolish dance, the shared grief, and the chance to feel less alone. 🍺 For anyone who has ever disliked the drink but loved the table around it. Bring this one to a Dungeons & Dragons tavern when the party finally has nothing to defeat and enough time to become friends. Welcome to Lyra Vesperi, where even a bitter cup can make room for something honest. 🎵 Lyrics: My friends pulled me through the tavern door No feast, no quest, they only wanted more More songs, more jokes, more hours before the night They passed me ale, I swore it tasted like spite I've lived long enough to watch shy feet dance One foaming mug can give a tongue its chance The quiet start a tale they'd never start The room grows loud enough to bare the heart So maybe no one loves the brew They love what one more cup lets through Oh! Raise it high, it's bitter stuff! Yet somehow one is not enough! One cup for courage, one for chance One for a kiss, one for a dance The taste was never work of art It's what it loosens in the heart The baker swears he's far too shy Two cups put mischief in his eye A merchant says the ale's to blame His collar falls, he learns each name One woman drinks beside an empty chair A soldier toasts a name into the air They laugh more softly, sip more slow Some cups are boats that carry woe So maybe no one loves the brew They love what one more cup lets through Oh! Raise it high, it's bitter stuff! Yet somehow one is not enough! One cup for courage, one for chance One for a kiss, one for a dance The taste was never work of art It's what it loosens in the heart Nobody loves the bitter bite They love who they become tonight A guarded truth can cross the air A lonely grief can find a chair The cup is only wood and foam The room is what can feel like home So maybe no one loves the brew They love what one more cup lets through Oh! Raise it high, it's bitter stuff! Yet somehow one is not enough! One cup for courage, one for chance One for a kiss, one for a dance The taste was never work of art It's what it loosens in the heart --- 🎚️ Audio Mix: BandLab 🎨 Visuals: Vizzy + Image 2.0 🎶 Music: Suno AI 📜 Concept & Lyrics: Lyra Vesperi --- 🛡️ Continue the Adventure: ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfrZ6tmrmxqRuKzfrMR4AjrjQ6Mwwh9dr ➡️ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfrZ6tmrmxqRk44eRYqC1izOLOchs63Z2 🎶 Stream the music everywhere: https://map.lyravesperi.com 💎 Join the Guild for exclusive perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyKMXQn_Wd43N8mU9Nb7-5w/join
