When Peach Blossoms Bloom | Song of Everlasting Sorrow Ambient Music

When peach blossoms filled the imperial gardens and music drifted through the halls of the Tang court, an extraordinary love story quietly began. Inspired by the opening chapters of 《Song of Everlasting Sorrow》 by the Tang dynasty poet Bai Juyi, this long-form traditional Chinese ambient suite captures the radiant world before sorrow arrived. Rather than retelling the entire poem, the music lingers on its earliest moments—spring blossoms, palace gardens, elegant banquets, graceful dances, moonlit pavilions, fragrant incense, and the quiet joy shared between Emperor Xuanzong of Tang and Yang Guifei during the height of the Tang dynasty. Featuring guqin, guzheng, xiao, dizi, pipa, konghou, sheng, bianzhong bells, together with birdsong, flowing streams, spring breezes, palace fountains, rustling silk, and blooming flowers, this collection unfolds like the opening half of an ancient handscroll, inviting listeners into an atmosphere of elegance, romance, and timeless serenity. Blending classical Chinese aesthetics, Tang court culture, poetic refinement, Taoist tranquility, and cinematic ambient storytelling, this album offers a peaceful and immersive listening experience inspired by one of China's greatest narrative poems.
