The $6 Self-Defense Weapon You Can Legally Carry Anywhere

What if your everyday self-defense tool looked like nothing more than a permanent marker? This video examines the Cold Steel Pocket Shark, a roughly $6 hard-polymer marker designed to be carried discreetly and used as a close-range defensive tool. We break down why portability, leverage, and concentrated force can matter more than carrying something intimidating that you may not be allowed to bring everywhere. You’ll learn about the two basic grips, the limitations of the tool, and why its purpose should be creating an opportunity to escape—not winning a fight. We also cover important legal considerations, explain why the Pocket Shark shouldn’t be relied on for breaking car windows, and discuss why a dedicated glass breaker belongs in your vehicle. Practical, realistic, and focused on getting home safely.
