She Worked 3 Jobs to Send Him Abroad…He Called Her The CATERER | Full Story | African Folktales

She worked three jobs, burned her wrist over a firewood pot, and sold her late grandmother's gold earrings so the man she loved could study abroad. Then he came home with another bride and introduced her as the caterer. This emotional Nigerian storytime follows Ngozi, who gave three years and nine million, six hundred thousand naira to Chidi's dream, only to be humiliated in front of twenty-two guests at her own homecoming dinner. What happens next is quiet, painful and powerful. She walks away without screaming, rebuilds from nothing, and becomes the head of a hospitality empire. Years later, he walks into her boardroom begging for a contract, and a worn red exercise book on the shelf says everything she never had to.
