THE ODYSSEY | The Island Let Them Escape… So Something Could Follow | Dark Fantasy Film Odysseus and his crew escape a mysterious island—but something hidden in its water follows them aboard. After the fall of Troy, an ancient Greek galley crosses a dark and unfamiliar sea. A woman’s voice whispers Odysseus’s name from beneath the ship. Wet footprints cross an empty deck. The wind continues to blow, yet the galley stops moving. Then a rocky island rises from the mist—an island that was never there before. Searching for fresh water, Odysseus, Eurylochus, Pheron, and a small group of sailors enter an abandoned settlement where lamps are still burning and food remains warm, but every house is empty. At an ancient stone well, Pheron meets a mysterious woman in white and ignores one warning: Never give the island your name. The galley eventually escapes, but the island releases them too easily. A silver drop appears on Pheron’s lips. His body casts two shadows. One follows his movements. The other remains perfectly still. Soon, familiar voices begin calling the sailors by name from beneath the sea. Their memories are no longer their own, and Odysseus is shown an impossible vision of Ithaca. Before the third bell sounds, he must discover what followed them aboard—and why it wants their names. THE SECOND SHADOW is an original dark fantasy adventure inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and ancient Greek mythology. The film features Odysseus, Penelope, Eurylochus, a mysterious island, an ancient sea creature, supernatural horror, maritime mystery, and a dangerous voyage toward Ithaca.
