Description
Proxima Centauri. The closest star to the Sun, a small red dwarf sitting just 4.25 light-years away in the Alpha Centauri system. It is so faint that it cannot be seen from Earth without a telescope, despite being our nearest stellar neighbor by a wide margin. Around it orbits a rocky world only slightly more massive than Earth, named Proxima Centauri b, positioned within the star's habitable zone.
