Description

9 of the most beautiful cars Detroit ever built vanished within a few years. Only one didn't die from the oil crisis or new laws. The early 1970s gave America its most breathtaking designs: the Dodge Challenger, Plymouth 'Cuda, Camaro Z/28, Firebird Trans Am, AMC Javelin, Buick Riviera Boattail, Oldsmobile Toronado, Cadillac Eldorado convertible, and Lincoln Continental Mark IV. Then the 1973 oil crisis, new emissions laws, and soaring insurance premiums killed nearly all of them, sometimes within a year of each other. One car on this list didn't die the way the others did. It was still a top seller the year it got replaced. We break down the design, the engineering, and the exact reason each of these nine legends disappeared. #ClassicCars #AmericanMuscle #1970sCars
