Baseball's Greatest Linsanity Runs

If you enjoyed the video, remember to like and subscribe for more weekly baseball content. Linsanity is when an unknown, unproven player suddenly plays like the best in the world for a few unforgettable weeks, then fades right back into obscurity. It happened to Jeremy Lin in the NBA in 2012, and baseball has been producing its own version of it for decades. This video counts down the wildest examples in MLB history, from David Freese's legendary Game 6 heroics in the 2011 World Series, Yermin Mercedes' record-breaking hot start with the White Sox, Matt Shoemaker's improbable rise from undrafted afterthought to ace, Jeff Francoeur's "Natural" rookie summer with the Braves, Aristides Aquino's record-setting home run binge with the Reds, and Matt Carpenter's late-career revival with the Yankees. Same story, different sport, over and over again. #MLB #Baseball #Linsanity #JeremyLin #WorldSeries
