Truck Driver Caught with $12 Million worth of Cocaine at Canada Border

A truck headed for Canada. A false wall hiding 121 bricks of cocaine. And a driver insisting he had already told investigators everything he knew. On August 1, 2024, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers inspected a truck at the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron, Michigan. An X-ray scan and a physical inspection involving a canine team uncovered 266 pounds of cocaine—about 121 kilos, worth about $12 million. The driver, 42-year-old Juli Sabosan Sathiaseelan, was turned over to the St. Clair County Drug Task Force. Watch his exchange with investigators on Bodycam footage as deputies prepare to take him to jail, followed by a breakdown of the discovery, charges, and court outcome.
