Description

📘 THE BOOK: "The Old Scout Way: Walt's Camping & Fishing Manual" (120 camp and fishing tricks) 📗 ALSO: "The Old Scout Way: Walt's Camp Cooking Manual" (60 tricks for cooking with no kitchen) Get one, or both in a bundle: https://waltscampingsecrets.com I spent thirty-five years as a scoutmaster, and the most useful thing in my camp box turned out to be a $1.06 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide. In this video I show you what it really does at camp, and the one famous job doctors now say to skip. In this video: Blood out of a shirt in one to three minutes, and the raw potato test for a bottle that has gone flat A coffee-black thermos, a cutting board after raw chicken, a sour cooler and a camp toothbrush Where it does damage: carbon steel, and anything dyed you haven't tested first What is really inside the big tub of oxygen stain powder The skunked-dog formula no store can bottle: 1 quart fresh 3% peroxide, 1/4 cup baking soda, 1 to 2 teaspoons dish soap The old way works because peroxide breaks down into plain water and oxygen once it has done its work. Safety: use only the 3% brown bottle, never 35% "food grade." Never mix it with vinegar or bleach, never store the skunk mix in a closed container, and do not use it to treat drinking water or open wounds. Deep cuts and bites need a professional.
